Color is a language. Color is one of the most fulfilling elements in our lives. Color can attract your attention or change your mood. It speaks to who you are, how you feel and where you're going. The color fidelity of an image is an important part in the quality of the video signal and the artistic look and feel of the program.

Reasons enough for MediaNet Vlaanderen to organize a seminar around the importance of color in cooperation with its members Barco, C.N.Rood, Grid VFX and R&D International.

14h45 Real-time color alignment (Barco)
In this presentation Barco will highlight its different techniques on real-time color alignment. To achieve a perfect balance between the desired color temperature and brightness and the displayed one, one must use real-time measurement tools and techniques. Which techniques can be used? How do we measure?
How do we compensate?
The different real-time tools for this will be shown using the wide variety of Barco products, going from a reference monitor over digital projectors to backdrops.

Media servers are being used now-a-days for many applications from Concerts, TV-shows to outdoor sports. These units are the driving force behind the screens, LEDwalls & projectors on a set or event. Each of them do have a different brightness and color temperature which needs to be adjusted for the camera's who are broadcasting or recording the event.
